Yes, I do have interests beyond the world of autism...
...And there they are...Tristan, Tad and Kaitlyn! Being new as a single mom presents it's challenges, but I'm eager to continue to enjoy the adventures of my kids while rediscovering Kim, who's been on a shelf way too long! Returning to work is exciting and will allow even more growth for the kids as they turn this new page with me.
Personally, I enjoy reading, singing and listening to wonderful music (a personal favorite is Yanni) and snuggling with the kids watching classic movies. Rainy day board games are always loads of fun as well. I love to cook and bake. My biggest hobby is golf. I love to watch the PGA tour events and am a HUGE Phil Mickelson fan. I'd love to play 18 holes with him someday along side my own future PGA golfer, Tristan. Tristan is working hard on his game, hoping to make the school district golf team next year, and he and I are glued to the TV every weekend watching the PGA golf events.
God, of course, is my anchor. I don't think I need to say much more here as my book spells it out clearly.
I'm a pretty logical thinker, so when I wanted to get to the bottom of the autism puzzle it seemed logical to me to go to the maker of my children to find out how autism works.
God isn't as tough to get in touch with as Doctors are. He has never put me on hold for 47 minutes (as once happened when I needed to talk to a Doctor).
It was no big surprise to me when I discovered that God was more than eager to tell me what to do to help Tad and Kaitlyn. He loves them more than I do.
The reason for writing this book ISN'T to bring glory to myself! It's to bring glory to God. After all, He's the "author" of the kids AND the information about how to help them. May God bless you and yours with confidence, hope and joy!
